Sturgeon Bay, Wis.-based hoist manufacturer Marine Travelift delivered a TM100 self-propelled hydraulic transporter to Riviera Yachts, a key component of the builder’s expansion that was announced last summer.

The Australian builder now has the ability to transport vessels up to 100 tons. The remote-controlled TM100 has an open-end design that obviates the need for custom cradles to move boats.

“The new transporter enables our team to consolidate our workflow, creating greater efficiencies in the process of building luxury motor yachts,” Kyle Davison, Riviera supply, planning and production director, said in a statement. “It provides a lot more maneuverability enabling better access to existing and new facilities, and by employing this state-of-the-art technology, the team can take advantage of improved efficiencies and safety on-site.”

Added Marine Travelift sales director for Asia and Oceania Scott Agler: “The TM100 transporter, with its innovative features and highly customized options, is a very flexible tool for Riviera as they continue to grow and adapt to their customers’ needs and demands.”

Riviera’s $10 million expansion will increase the builder’s 1.5-million-square-foot production facility by more than 20 percent.
