The call for entries for Boot Düsseldorf’s Ocean Tribute Award is now open. The marine conservation prize has been awarded since 2018 by the trade fair organizers and the German Ocean Foundation.

Previous winners include a variety of international projects from many parts of the world, all contributing to marine conservation through different methods. The winner receives $23,000 for their projects.

“All marine conservationists are eligible to take part,” organizers said in a statement. “The projects will be assessed by a panel of experts according to the criteria of effectiveness, participation and networking. Five nominees will then advance to a public vote, in which anyone can take part online.”

Boot Düsseldorf is scheduled for Jan. 23-31, 2027, in Germany.
