Coatings manufacturer Propspeed announced today the appointment of Joe Mercurio as Gulf Coast sales manager and technical support. Mercurio will work with distributors, boatyards, dealers, applicators and customers across the Gulf Coast, strengthening regional relationships and providing sales and technical support.
“Our partners have come to value the experience of our technical sales team, who understand their business and their customers, share their passion for boating and are committed to their success,” CEO Marcus Hamilton said in a press release. “Joe’s marine industry experience, sales background and deep ties to the Gulf Coast make him a strong fit for our team and the partners we serve.”
Mercurio has more than 20 years of marine industry experience, with a background in sales channel and brand management, including experience with Yanmar Marine International.
“My love of boating and fishing started young, and my best memories were made on the water with family and friends,” he said in the release. “Working in the marine industry lets me pass that on, introducing new people to the water and helping them enjoy it.
