Key Responsibilities

  • Install and integrate marine electronics and electrical systems, including navigation, communication, and audio.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment on vessels.
  • Ensure all work complies with industry safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management.
  • Document all service and repair activities accurately and thoroughly.
  • Conduct sea trials for equipment calibration and testing.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in electronics installation and repair preferred.
  • Strong understanding of NMEA 2000, marine networking, and power distribution.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Scale ladders over 10 feet.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Skills

  • ABYC or NMEA certifications.
  • Familiarity with leading marine brands such as Garmin, Furuno, Raymarine, Simrad, KVH, Mastervolt, Victron, FLIR, and JL Audio.
  • Experience with AC and DC systems, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience with battery systems, including Lithium-Ion, chargers, and inverters.
