Director Anne Dunbar welcomed more than 700 exhibitors to the show, and NMMA president gave an update on industry issues and successes.

The marine industry convenes in Tampa Fla., for the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference, which runs through Thursday.

The schedule includes the industry breakfast and keynote, as well as the opening night party, Career Day and other sessions.

The show is hosting 711 exhibiting companies, and 40 boats will be docked at the Tampa Convention Center.

Seminar titles include “Appendage Design and Drag Considerations,” “Advances in Infusion Technology” and “Engineering a 3D Printed Vessel: Why the Numbers Stack up Better than You Would Expect.”

The Carbon Conundrum will address how to balance the trend for higher horsepower and efficient, alternative propulsion and hull design.

The new show feature will feature technology and education to create a “sustainable boating future.”

The show is scheduled for Oct. 3-5 at the Tampa Convention Center in Florida, and organizers expect more than 680 exhibitors in the halls and on the docks.
